Finance & Insurance

Turn inherent complexity into clear, trustworthy experiences that people actually want to use.
Brands I have worked with.

The Problem as I see it

Financial products are inherently dense. Systems are often built around technical constraints and backend logic rather than the people using them. The result is an experience that technically works but emotionally fails—creating hesitation where there should be confidence. When a journey feels fragmented or a UI feels overwhelming, users don't just get frustrated; they disengage.

Where I have seen Challenges

I help financial organizations bridge the gap between complex tech integrations and intuitive human behavior. Designing for wealth management isn't about removing the power of the tool; it’s about mapping the customer journey so that every interaction feels deliberate and clear. My challenge is to solve for these competing realities:

  • Empathy vs. Logic: Translating backend data into meaningful, human-centered interfaces.
  • Journey Continuity: Ensuring a seamless experience from the first marketing touchpoint to deep product engagement.
  • Structured Clarity: Layering information so advanced users have the depth they need, while everyday users don't feel buried.

How I Work

I start by mapping out the decisions a user needs to make, whether it’s rebalancing a portfolio or checking a balance. My approach is to layer information so that critical data is visible at a glance, but the deeper technical details are available exactly when they’re needed. I focus on creating a sense of calm and control so that high-stakes interactions never feel rushed or overwhelming.

Results

Across finance and wealth projects, this approach has consistently led to:

  • Increased user confidence and decision velocity
  • Reduced reliance on support and training
  • Stronger advisor–client interactions
  • Improved adoption of complex tools
  • Experiences that feel modern without sacrificing trust

Most importantly, it creates products people are willing to rely on — not just tolerate.
